description: <div><b>This dataset includes the City of Boston Planning Department Research Division's population estimates for Boston's population at the City level on January 1st, 2025. </b></div><div><br /></div><div>The Research Division created age-specific population estimates for Boston, its neighborhoods and census tracts. 2019-2023 American Community Survey (ACS) data were used to analyze the Research Division population estimates by demographic characteristics.</div><div><br /></div><div>The Research Division developed these estimates in light of the 2020 Decennial Census and subsequent American Community Surveys undercounts of Boston's population.
